"My mom hired Janette to create a memorial piece for her beloved dog Nova, who passed suddenly and traumatically. Janette went above and beyond with this portrait. She captured the very essence of Nova, and the realism of the piece is so remarkable its as if Nova is present in the room with us. Her eyes are so lifelike and the fur is absolutely perfect. This piece has brought joy to my mom who misses her best friend so deeply. Mom requested a custom live wood frame to showcase the portrait and we were overjoyed with the craftsmanship and unique beauty of the frame. I highly recommend Janette to anyone wishing to capture their loved ones forever in an absolute unique work of art."

"Janette has done many portraits for my family and friends and myself. I send her a photo of what I want done with full confidence that it will look better then the original photo . Every single detail is perfect. I get updated on the process which is so amazing to see. We recommend her 100%!"

Choosing Your Photo It is very important that you choose a photo of your pet that is well lit, close up and in focus. It's not always easy to capture a great photo of our pets and we're certainly not all professional photographers, but having a good photo is essential for me to capture a true likeness of your beloved pet. I am willing to work with whatever photo you choose, so long as it is understood that my work will reflect to some degree the quality of the reference photo provided. To the left are some examples of some great reference photos versus not so great ones. Notice the difference in clarity of detail, colouring, and composition of the animal. I am happy to take a look at multiple photos and offer suggestions! Tips and Tricks! Use treats or a toy to get their attention! Go outside where there is good natural light. I want to see those gorgeous, sparkling eyes! Kneel to their level to avoid awkward compositions. Get close and personal! Cropping far away photos often results in a great loss of detail. |
